The aquarium is amazing from the moment you arrive. The variety of tanks, each home to a wide range of fish from every continent, was wonderful, and the large glass-bottomed pool with the underwater tunnel—seeing sharks and rays swimming right above our heads—is a memory we’ll never forget. Congratulations.

From start to finish, this experience honestly exceeded my expectations. I have done a fair bit of traveling, and this experience really stayed with me. The round-trip van transfer took a lot of stress out of the day. Everything was organized, on time, and smooth, which made it easy to just relax and take it all in. When we finally arrived and I caught my first glimpse of Christ the Redeemer, I had to pause. Pictures don’t do it justice, the scale, the presence, the way it overlooks the entire city, it’s something you feel, not just see. What really made it special for me was the sense of connection. Standing up there, looking out over Rio, I felt both small in the best way and deeply grounded at the same time. It was peaceful, powerful, and honestly a little emotional. There was a moment where I just stood still, took a breath, and let it all sink in, and that’s the part I’ll remember most. The whole experience felt welcoming and accessible, and I appreciated how easy it was to navigate everything without feeling rushed or overwhelmed. If you’re someone who values not just seeing a landmark but really experiencing it, this is absolutely worth it. I’d recommend this to anyone, especially if you want a smooth, meaningful visit without the usual hassle. It’s one of those experiences that sticks with you long after you leave.

A super touristy tour, just as expected! It went well despite the "huge" crowd of visitors. It all came down to our guide, Luciana, who is undoubtedly one of the best in the area: friendly, experienced, knowledgeable, and efficient! Thanks to the whole team for a great tour ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Why go on a Christ the Redeemer helicopter tour?

Get face-to-face with Christ

Most people see the statue from a crowded platform. You? You’ll hover at eye level with the 30-meter-tall statue—arms wide, views wider. No lines, no pushing, just a smooth loop around Corcovado with Rio sprawling beneath you.

Hit Rio’s icons in one smooth ride

Christ the Redeemer, Sugarloaf Mountain, Copacabana, Ipanema, and more—this tour checks off Rio’s best landmarks faster than you can say “traffic jam.” In 12 minutes, you’ll see more than most people manage in a full day, with better angles and zero time wasted on logistics.

Escape the crowds

Forget the van rides, train queues, and jostling for a photo spot. This is the shortcut everyone wishes they knew about. Take off, rise above the noise, and enjoy uninterrupted views while the crowds are still waiting for their turn on the platform.

Safe and smooth

This isn’t any thrill-seeking ride; it’s designed for comfort and epic views. You’ll fly with licensed pros in top-condition choppers and wraparound windows for maximum visibility. It’s secure, scenic, and seriously well-run.

Get the kind of photos people zoom in on

Looking for that one shot everyone double-taps? You’ll get it here—clean, wide-angle views with no strangers in your frame. The Christ from above, Sugarloaf at golden hour, beaches that look like postcards... this isn’t just content, it’s cinematic.

Things to know before booking a Christ the Redeemer helicopter tour

  • This helicopter tour in Rio de Janeiro includes “only” a scenic flight over the city’s top landmarks, but does not include attraction tickets, guided visits, or ground entry to Christ the Redeemer.
  • The Rio helicopter tour is not a fixed-time tour. The exact departure time will be confirmed after you book, based on weather and operational factors. Flights operate on a first-come, first-served basis, so flexibility is key, especially during busy seasons.
  • Each flight requires at least three confirmed passengers. If the minimum isn’t met on your preferred day, your booking will be fully refunded.
  • Helicopter flights in Rio are weather-dependent. Rain, fog, or strong winds may lead to delays or cancellations.
  • Children under 2 years typically fly free if they sit on a guardian’s lap. However, if the pilot deems a separate seat necessary for safety reasons, a full ticket will be charged.

Christ the Redeemer helicopter tour visitor tips

  • Book early to secure your preferred time slot, especially for weekends and late afternoon flights when the lighting is ideal for photos.
  • Arrive at least 30 minutes before your flight for check-in, safety briefing, and seat assignment. This helps ensure you're not rushed and have a better chance at a window seat.
  • Wear snug, comfortable clothing and avoid anything that could blow away, like hats, scarves, or loose jewelry. Lightweight layers are best.
  • Photography is key, so bring a good camera or phone with a strap, plus sunglasses to reduce glare from the helicopter windows.
  • Weather matters. Flights may be delayed or rescheduled due to clouds, fog, or wind. Mid-morning and late afternoon are typically clearest.
  • Keep your ID handy, as you'll need it to check in. Also, bring a card or a small amount of cash in case you need to pay for extras or transport.
  • The helicopter tour is wheelchair accessible, including the helipad area and the boarding process. Staff are trained to assist passengers with limited mobility.
  • Flat access routes are available at the departure point, and portable ramps or lifts may be used to help with boarding, depending on the aircraft model.
